Creditors Of An Estate
Did you know that when someone dies, their family members don’t have a personal obligation to pay the decedent’s debts?
That doesn’t mean the creditor won’t be paid. A personal representative must address properly presented claims of creditors. Arizona law provides a time frame for giving legal notice to creditors and presentation of claims. This time frame allows the personal representative to determine which creditors will be paid from the Estate, and those which will not be paid from the Estate.
If you have recently lost a loved one and will take on the responsibility of administering the Estate, we can help you through the process.
